Actress Swara Bhaskar and Samajwadi Party’s Fahad Ahmed stated in a recent interview that since they are a “interfaith couple who does not convert,” they can only get married in a courtroom. Nonetheless, the pair is sharing images and videos from numerous rites, including haldi, mehendi, and sangeet, as they celebrate their marriage with their loved ones. On Thursday, Swara posted images of herself and Fahadh from their “qawwali night” on Twitter. Akhilesh Yadav, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and a prominent member of the Samajwadi Party, attended the event.
Swara tweeted the images along with the following: “Feeling thrilled and privileged to welcome Shri Akhilesh Yadav ji at ‘Swaad Anwara (her wedding hashtag)’ celebration… I conveyed my views about my party’s popper daddy.” Akhilesh ji, who was gentle and athletic, too experienced the pain. The Samajwadi Party leader tweeted in Hindi, “Wishing Swara Bhaskar and Fahad Ahmed a happy married life,” along with some of his photos from Swara and Fahad’s wedding ceremony. Greetings and congratulations!
In the first image, Swara and Fahadh are seated close to Akhilesh at the celebrations wearing green and gold ethnic clothing. A picture of Swara and Akhilesh joking and conversing was also in Fahadh’s possession. There were also a few images of Akhilesh with Swara and her retired army officer father Uday Bhaskar from the celebrations.
Swara and Fahadh recently stated in an interview that they aim to “establish a common tradition of celebrations” through their wedding festivities, such as haldi, mehendi, sangeet, and qawwali ki raat. Both Swara and Fahadh declared that they are “extremely conscious and proud” of being Muslims and Hindus, respectively.
The pair said in an interview with Times of India that they are both highly aware of and proud of their identities and that nobody wants to change them. Such things have been planned. which both of our cultures share. One item that occurs in our nation is turmeric. Both. Muslims refer to it as Ubtan. Both sides receive mehndi. There is music on both sides. A non-converting intercaste couple in India can only be legally wed in a court under the Special Marriage Act, which is what we have done. We are currently working to establish a shared celebrational culture.
On Twitter and Instagram, Swara has been posting images and videos from her wedding celebrations. On February 16, Swara had revealed her engagement to Fahad Ahmed. The progression of his relationship was also discussed. She displayed court-taken pictures and mentioned that she chose a court wedding and submitted her paperwork on January 6 in accordance with the Special Marriage Act.
