Recently, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh traveled to Kolkata to promote their movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. At the occasion, Alia addressed supporters in Bengali and posted a video and some behind-the-scenes images. Before the event, she can be seen diligently preparing her Bengali lines. Despite forgetting her lines while performing, she was eventually able to welcome the crowd in Bengali with some help from Ranveer.

Alia Bhatt posted the video and images on Instagram and stated: “Kolkata tale of Rocky and Rani. Observed in three days! This Friday, see the love tale of Rocky and Rani in theaters.”

With a pink and crimson saree and bold earrings, Alia looked lovely. Ranveer was dressed in black jeans and a casual white shirt. In the first clip, Alia is practicing her lines on a tablet while lounging on a sofa. Alia begins speaking in Bengali in a brief clip from the occasion, but she stops mid-sentence and adds, “I forgot my lines, I had rehearsed.”

“Kitna pyara hai yaar, tu homework karke aayi thi, exam ke time pe bhool gayi,” Ranveer Singh mocked her. Stunning images of her are shown after the film, one of which shows her making a face.

One of her followers commented, “Very cute,” on her post. Another person praised his Bengali speaking abilities and exclaimed, “Amazing!!! (Diamond emoji) Rani. You tried so hard, @aliaabhatt, someone else said. The actor’s fan page posted, “Respect button for Alia Bhatt.” His Bengali accent (three heart smileys and a kiss emoji), according to another comment.

Alia Reveals Why She Forgets Her Lines

Alia was seen forgetting her lines after the first few words of her Bengali address in a video that surfaced online from the event in Kolkata. I apologize. Aake, aapko saara face dekh, laal rang dekh ke main bhol gayi (I have been practicing these phrases since yesterday morning, but after seeing you all in red, I forgot everything), but I wanted you to greet you in Bengali so I did.

On Monday, Alia and Ranveer traveled to Kolkata for the debut of their brand-new dance song, Dhindora Baje Re. She can be seen dancing passionately in the song while dressed in crimson for Durga Puja celebrations. Darshan Raval and Bhumi Trivedi are the singers, and Vaibhavi Merchant created the choreography.
