Many people were intrigued by the dystopian movie’s interesting initial trailer, but now some people on social media are comparing it to Timothée Chalamet’s Dune.

Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Prabhas appear in the futuristic first look for Kalki 2898 AD. In a warlike setting where Prabhas is portrayed as the populace’s rescuer, they look to be warriors. Also, it hinted at the major adversary of the movie but avoided showing his face.

A press release from the producers claims that Kalki 2898 AD would provide spectators a “unique and immersive cinematic experience” by transporting them to an universe never before seen in Indian cinema. According to the director, his passion of Star Wars and Mahabharat led to the creation of his picture.
ANI news agency quotes the director as saying, “The tale just started to take shape when I had this notion. I adore mythology and science fiction, and I was raised on both the Mahabharata and Star Wars. It seemed ideal to make a movie that merges these two worlds, and Kalki 2989 AD was the result.” The movie will debut the next year.
