Shabana Azmi is in London for her granddaughter Shakya’s graduation with the rest of her family. The parents of Shakya are Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani. The seasoned actor shared a few images from their trip to London as a family.

Shabana included a photo of herself enjoying breakfast with her family and friends in one of the posts. Her lyricist-husband Javed Akhtar, his ex-wife Honey Irani, her brother Farhan Akhtar, and his wife Shibani Dandekar all joined her. As soon as Farhan took the selfie, everyone grinned. “Lebanese food in London!!!” was Shabana’s caption for the image.
Another image that was taken from a distance shows Shabana outside, along with Javed, Farhan, Shibani, and Honey. “Quiet little Lancaster station after Shakya’s graduation,” he captioned the picture.

Earlier this week, Farhan shared on Instagram family photos from his daughter Shakya’s graduation. You can also watch a video of Shakya receiving his college diploma on stage. Shakya can be seen posing with her parents Farhan and Adhuna, her grandfather Javed, and her grandmother Honey in the other three images.
Congratulations to Shakya, who graduated from our program, Farhan wrote in the caption. Being there as a family to recognize his accomplishment is a proud moment. Moving forward, the world is yours. @kiraakhtar @zoeakhtar, “Missed you @lancasteruniversity #batchof2023.”
Additionally, he mentioned in the caption that his younger daughter Akira Akhtar and sister, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, were not present for the reunion.
Upcoming Projects
The last time we saw Shabana was in the 2022 movie What’s Love Got To Do With It. Shekhar Kapur is the filmmaker. She will next be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a film by Karan Johar, which will be released on July 29. The lead actors in the movie are Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra.
Rocky Randhawa (Ranveer) and Rani Chatterjee (Alia), who lead completely different lives, are shown in the movie’s trailer. While Rani comes from a Bengali family where knowledge and intelligence are valued above all else, Rocky is a Punjabi boy from a wealthy Punjabi family. They immediately discover that their families do not get along after falling in love. Then, in an effort to impress them, Rocky and Rani decide to switch families and live together.
