Farhan Akhtar shared a photo of his entire family at his elder daughter Shakya’s Lancaster University convocation. In the photo are Farhan’s mother Honey Irani, his ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani, father Javed Akhtar, his wife Shabana Azmi, and his wife Shibani Dandekar.

On Tuesday, Farhan posted the images to his Instagram page. The first image depicts his entire family, including the wives and ex-wives of both he and Javed Akhtar.
A video of Shakya receiving his college diploma on stage is also displayed in the same carousel. Shakya can be seen posing with her parents Farhan and Adhuna, her grandfather Javed, and her grandmother Honey in the other three images.
Congratulations to Shakya, who graduated from our program, Farhan wrote in the caption. Being there as a family to recognize his accomplishment is a proud moment. Moving forward, the world is yours. @kiraakhtar @zoeakhtar, “Missed you @lancasteruniversity #batchof2023.”
Two family members were absent from the reunion, according to Farhan’s explanation in the caption: his younger daughter Akira Akhtar and sister, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar.

Pragya Kapoor, the wife of Rock On director Abhishek Kapoor and producer of the film, and Anaita Shroff Adajania, the costume designer, also left “congratulations” on the post. Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, and Ankur Tiwari, who composed music and collaborated with Farhan on the films Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Lakshya (2001), were among the other celebrities who sent messages of love via emoji (2004).

On the sets of his debut feature film, Dil Chahta Hai, Farhan met his ex-wife Adhuna, a hairstylist. In 2000, they tied the knot, and they divorced in 2017. Sakya and Akira, their two daughters, were born. Last year, Farhan wed the actor Shibani Dandekar. Initially married to screenwriter Honey Irani, her father Javed Akhtar later wed actress Shabana Azmi.
