However, not all accounts have been closed. Even if Ken is rumoured to have filed his accounts with the High Table and John, of course, there is still one person with whom he is perpetually in debt: Akira (Rina Syama), the daughter of Osaka Continental manager Shimazu Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada).
The post-credits sequence serves as a reminder that a tale isn’t truly done until we’re in the ground. This scene capitalises on the fact that viewers can forget elements from the first hour of a three-hour movie. While John could disagree to killing his old friend, Akira, a youthful and vengeful person, wouldn’t care. She witnessed the epic sword battle in which the blind Kain killed his father in a samurai combat that night, lit only by the gentle glow of neon lights. Akira, who was already seriously hurt, understood that she could not take revenge on her father for falling. Ken does, however, acknowledge that he will be waiting for her. She also told John Wick that she would eventually kill Kane if he didn’t.
It appears that one day today, with a knife drawn from his sleeve and a determined expression on his face, Akira will approach a blind and beaming Cain on a busy street. Does she exact her retribution, and does Cain go to John’s grave with him?
The choice is entirely up to the viewer. This is fitting because both Cain and John ask what happens when they die and briefly argue the nature of life and death in their own unique ways. It might be appropriate that the two got back together earlier than Kane had anticipated. Shimazu, a man who, in contrast to Cain, has never given up his friendship with John, even when it cost him his hotel and his life, is killed by Cain because they are both bound by oaths, obligations to honour, and blood in a curiously civilised underworld. Had to pay Aneeded to pay Since Akira was established as the genuine heir to his father’s ways, he ought to be able to exact revenge. Ken’s kid will be safe without him now that he has completed his duties to the High Table, even if she will be orphaned like Akira.kira was introduced as a true successor to his father’s ways, and by rights should be able to avenge him. Now that Ken has fulfilled his obligations to the High Table, his daughter will be safe without him, though orphaned like Akira.
