Following his acquittal in the Jiah Khan case, actor Sooraj Pancholi went to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib on Wednesday to ask for blessings. On Wednesday, Suraj shared images from his trip to Delhi’s Gurdwara Bangla Sahib on Instagram.

He could be seen in the photos asking for blessings while dressed in a blue T-shirt and jeans. Surajwas photographed herself with her hands in prayer. He shared the picture without a caption, although he added a hands-folded emoji.
Sooraj on Friday sent a thank you card to “all those who have always supported and believed in him during his legal battle” after a special court cleared him of kidnapping allegations in actor Jiah Khan’s death.
“Thank you to everyone who has consistently encouraged and believed in me; only I know how I survived all these years of grief and suffering. I couldn’t survive without your prayers and duas of unconditional love. Without you,” he said in a story on Instagram.
On June 3, 2013, Jiah’s body was discovered at her Juhu residence in Mumbai. A six-page letter purportedly written by Jiah led to Sooraj’s arrest by police, who charged him with aiding suicide. Jia and Suraj allegedly had a romance.
Rabia Khan, Jiah’s mother, claimed that her daughter had been murdered. Rabia filed a petition with the Bombay High Court in October 2013 asking for a CBI investigation into the case and claiming that her daughter had been murdered.
In July 2014, the CBI took over the probe from the Maharashtra Police at the Bombay High Court’s direction. Actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab’s son Sooraj, according to Rabia, were abusing their daughter.
However, the CBI court in Mumbai eventually cleared Suraj of all charges on Friday. Sooraj also made a statement to the media following his acquittal in the Jiah Khan case, claiming that the previous 10 years had been “difficult” for him and his family.
“I have not only won the case against me, but I have also regained my dignity and confidence. The verdict took ten grueling, terrible years and many sleepless nights. It takes a great deal of courage to face the world. Some grave accusations have been made against me. I sincerely hope and pray that no one experiences what I have at such a young age.
I don’t know who will give me back these ten years of my life, but I’m glad it’s finally ended for me and my family above all else, he said.
Earlier, upon his acquittal, Sooraj posted a message on Instagram that said, “Truth always prevails. #GodIsGreat”. On Friday, Sooraj Pancholi made an appearance in court with his mother, the actress Zarina Wahab.
