Later this year, Manisha Koirala will appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical drama Heeramandi on Netflix. Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh are among the other cast members of the series in which she will appear. The actor recently stated in an interview that it would be best to leave the films as they are and opposed the remake. He believed that a lot of remakes fail because it is challenging to capture the same magic and enthusiasm.
Shahzada was the last movie in which Manisha Koirala appeared.
The Hindi movie Shehzada, an adaptation of the Allu Arjun-starring Ala Vaikunthapremulu, is where Manisha was last spotted (2020). Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kritin Sanon, fell short of the blockbuster triumph of the Telugu version. In the Hindi movie, which Rohit Dhawan directed, Manisha portrayed Kartik’s mother.
Manisha said in an interview with The Free Press Journal, “The films I liked working on, I will leave them. Since it is challenging to recreate the same energy and magic, so many remakes fail. Whatever was completed. Done, I won’t be touching it. Everything changes with time, including the human mind.
Manisha attended the Ponniyin Selvan 2 screening on Sunday at the Mumbai Yash Raj Studios. He reminisced about his time working with his Bombay director Mani Ratnam and his wife Suhasini Mani Ratnam when they were reunited. On Instagram, he had shared a couple images with the filmmaker. Maniratnam sir, what a terrific director and a humble person, he wrote. Working with him was highly demanding, but also rewarding, in my memory. We long to collaborate with artistic directors that support our desire to push limits and excel… He always tries to approach things in a unique way! My memory of the first day of shooting in Bombay is still quite recent.
Alongside Adil Hussain, Sophia Ali, and Rishabh Shah, the actor also appeared in the American comedy film India Sweets and Spices in 2022. The Geeta Malik-directed movie hasn’t been released in India yet.
