Namashi Chakraborty, the son of Mithun Chakraborty, recently recalled how Rajkumar Santoshi, the film’s director, was unaware of his existence till the end of the film. With the premiere of Rajkumar Santoshi’s film Bad Boy last Friday, Namashi made her Bollywood debut. Namashi discussed the movie and explained how he managed to land the role without letting on that he was Mithun’s son.

Amrin Qureshi, who made his official Bollywood debut with the movie Bad Boy, co-stars with Namashi in the movie. She is the daughter of Sajid Qureshi, a movie producer. Johnny Lever and Rajpal Yadav are also featured in the movie. The movie, which debuted on April 28, competed with Mani Ratnam’s PS-2 and had a terrible box office performance.
Namashi disclosed during the movie’s promotion that he concealed his identity until Rajkumar Santoshi spotted the resemblance between him and his father Mithun. “I did not tell anyone, including the casting director, that I am Mithun Chakraborty’s son,” he admitted to News18. On my own merits, I won Bad Boy. Raj ji was unaware of my existence. Raj ji remarked, “This youngster is good attractive; he reminds me of a young Mithun,” in response to Sajid bhai presenting him with images from my portfolio. Sajid Bhai then revealed to him that I am his son. I was the same as any other fresh actor being considered for a movie.
Raj ji and my father worked together, and he was still unaware that Mithun had additional children. We are from a pretty modest, low-key family. I never wondered why they didn’t know who I was. I’ve always had confidence in my ability to produce original ideas, and I knew that day would arrive.
The eldest child of Yogita Bali and Mithun Chakraborty is named Namashi. Although his brothers Mimoh and Ushme Chakraborty also entered the film business, their productions did not have the same success as their father’s. In the 1970s and 1980s, his mother Yogeeta Bali worked in the film industry.
The Kashmir Files was where Mithun was last seen. Prajapati, her final Bengali film with Dev, was a box office success. He is planning to release Baap.
