After ten years of litigation, Sooraj Pancholi was found not guilty in the Jiah Khan suicide case. Jiah passed away in 2013, and her mother afterwards accused the actor of being to fault. Sooraj, the son of Bollywood actresses Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, recently discussed his friendship with the late actress in a new interview. He also discussed how Jiah’s death was caused by Rabia Khan and her family’s disregard for her. Had a part in; scroll down to find out what she had to say. Suraj exhaled a sigh of relaxation.
For those who are unaware, the special CBI court decided during the trial that the Nishabd actress had suicidal tendencies and that the prosecution had failed to establish that Pancholi had helped her commit herself. On Friday, the decision was rendered.
Sooraj Pancholi recalled his friendship with Jiah Khan while speaking to Bombay Times. He also discussed the development of their connection and what followed. I had sent Jia a friend request on Facebook, he remembered. She was a lovely woman who had worked on a few films. She came back after approximately a year, and we grew close. Jiah and I were only together for five months, so I had no idea what she was going through. She required love from her family as well as from her partner. She sought their understanding and support. Gia was under a lot of pressure to provide for her family, which included her mother, her partner, and two younger half-sisters. As the only member who received compensation, she was unable to do so because she was not receiving the right kind of work.
Sooraj Pancholi continued, “At the age of 20, I was unaware of the gravity of the problem, but I spoke to his mother about his sadness and his need for assistance. Mental health was not a topic that was widely known at the time. He lacked that emotional backing. There was only me and her. In addition, Pancholi revealed that, as was revealed in court, he had already cut off his hand in order to end his life in 2012.
Speaking about it, Sooraj stated, “When I first met Jiah and we were not in a relationship, she tried to cut off her hand with the purpose of taking her life in 2012. He also talked about how he told his mother Rabia Khan about his mental health issues and sadness, but she did not come for him. Rabia and I met in London. ji, and she promised to come in Bombay on the following trip, but she didn’t appear for several months. It was a typical parent-child relationship, right? We fell in love because I was there for her at that moment.
She was a beautiful person, but my love for her wasn’t enough, Sooraj Pancholi said in his conclusion. She required the love of her family. I could have testified extensively in court, but I refrained because I wanted the family’s serenity. But there is no way to hold me accountable. The court determined that Jiah did not write the suicide letter that was ascribed to her and that it was supplied to the police a short time after it was released to the media. “The circumstances raise severe concerns regarding the true authorship of the claimed letter,” the judgement document stated.
