In response to the special CBI court’s decision in the Jiah Khan death case in 2013, actor Sooraj Pancholi claimed on Friday that he not only prevailed in the case but also regained his “dignity and courage.”
Following his acquittal in the suicide case of Jiah Khan, Sooraj Pancholi responded.
Sooraj issued a statement shortly after the decision was made and stated, “I have not only won this case against me, but I have also won my dignity and self-confidence today. It took great courage to face the world with such heinous allegations. The verdict has taken 10 long, painful years and sleepless nights.
Additionally, it says, “I hope and pray to God that no one will experience what I did at such a young age. I don’t know who will give me back these 10 years of my life, but I’m glad it’s finally over—not just for me, but especially for my family.
In this world, peace is the greatest thing.
In the Jiah Khan death case, Suraj was the primary defendant. He appeared in court with his mother, the actor Zarina Wahab, and was declared not guilty of the allegations due to “lack of evidence” against him.
Sooraj Pancholi, the son of Aditya Pancholi and Zarina, made his Bollywood debut in 2015’s Hero, which starred Athiya Shetty, the daughter of Suniel Shetty. Subhash Ghai and Salman Khan both endorsed the movie. Later, he appeared in films like Time to Dance and Satellite Shankar. His films have not performed well with audiences or critics.
In a previous 2015 interview with PTI, Sooraj had stated, “She will always be linked to me, and I don’t blame her for that. At least having something live with me makes me happy. I regret that he took his own life. But I have no issue with it since at least I have his name.”
