Sharad Kelkar has established himself in both television and movies throughout the course of a career spanning more than two decades. The actor, who is well-known for his commanding voice, has also provided the voiceovers for various Hollywood actors in movies including Mad Max: Fury Road and Guardians of the Galaxy. The actor recently recounted a day when he worked with Shah Rukh Khan abroad and got to see and learn from the celebrity. Sharad claimed that he provided him some wise counsel that has stuck with him.
Sharad Kelkar expressed his gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan for treating him with respect as an actor and for offering him career guidance.
Sharad took part in a three-day carnival in another country where he had to engage the crowd. He was meant to take the stage next Shah Rukh Khan. He assured his wife that he would do it after the shopping was over, hoping that everything would be over fast. The Pathan celebrity endured his hardships, though, and eventually decided to tell him a secret.
The actor observed Shah Rukh executing the action on stage before speaking with him in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. “Shah Rukh sir walked on stage and he didn’t come down,” he recounted. He stayed on stage for more than 30 minutes before leaving just as I was about to start working. I then asked him. Sir, you come down, I said. However, you remained there for one and a half hours when it should have only taken a half hour.
He didn’t need to tell me that, he continued. He most likely had no idea who I was because I was a TV person. He appreciated that I was an actress, nevertheless. And if I’m here, I must have taken some action.
Kirti Gaikwad, a former actress, is Sharad’s wife. In the television shows Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar, they collaborated. He is well-known for his work in Hindi movies including Operation Romeo, Mohenjo Daro, Bhoomi, Housefull 4, Tanhaji, and Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.
Alongside Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal, the actor, who also works in the Marathi and Telugu film industries, was most recently spotted in the Netflix movie Chor Nikal. Alongside Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi, he also appears in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming Prime Video web series Indian Police Force.
