This week’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 will mark the return of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to the screen. He was spotted in Mumbai on Tuesday in relation to the campaign. Ponniyin Selvan 2 is the follow-up to Mani Ratnam’s 2022 blockbuster starring Aishwarya Rai.

Aishwarya sported a new style for the promotions, donning a gorgeous ivory Anarkali suit. She wore her typical makeup and haircut and accessorised with an emerald necklace. Aishwarya is seen in a paparazzi video discretely posing in front of the movie poster for the media.
Before leaving, he also expressed gratitude and folded his hands. There was also the full Ponniyin Selvan 2 cast in attendance. Aishwarya and director Mani Ratnam were also spotted chatting, and the two gave each other a heartfelt embrace.

On Monday evening, Aishwarya was spotted departing for the promotions wearing only black. She donned a classic black dress with a rainbow pattern dupatta. She was reportedly in Manish Malhotra World, said the paparazzi.
Aishwarya is starring in Ponniyin Selvan 2 in two different roles. She will take on the roles of Mandakini Devi, her mother, and Rani Nandini. The sequel will continue up where PS-1 left off, with Ponniyin Selvan on the verge of death while Aishwarya, who resembles Queen Nandini, dives into the water to save him.
Aditya Karikalan, played by Vikram, is rumoured to have a flashback tale that takes centre stage in PS-2. It will emphasise the friendship that Ponniyin Selvan and Aishwarya’s character Oomai Rani grow into. Actor Vikram discussed it with ANI, saying, “We’re telling it everywhere like the first part was like an introduction, with all the characters coming together, as we touch every character like this. It’s the people and the backdrop, and now that we’ve reached the middle, with all the emotions, the storyline, and the tension, that’s when things get fascinating.
The 1950 Tamil novel of the same name by author Kalki Krishnamurthy was adapted for the big screen in Ponniyin Selvan 1. The movie also stars Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Lal, and Sobhita Dhulipala in addition to Aishwarya.
