Legendary actor Anupam Kher pays respect to journalist, author, and columnist Tarek Fatah, who is Pakistani-Canadian. On Monday, Anupam posted a heartfelt message in Tarek’s honor on Instagram. In the first image, Tarek and Anupam are seen smiling and posing for the camera inside a study room while Anupam keeps his arm around them. The second image also included Nargis Tapal, the spouse of Anupam and Tarek. On the third image, everyone was laughing. Anupam included a picture frame with Tarek and Nargis in the final image.

Anupam captioned the post after sharing the images, “I am incredibly heartbroken to hear about the demise of my buddy Tarek Fatah, who was a real Indian at heart and the bravest, kindest person I know. His bravery was contagious! He laughed heartily.” We had several occasions to meet folks. But spending an afternoon with him over some delectable food and fascinating anecdotes at his house in Toronto was quite special. I send my sympathies to his family and friends.”

On Instagram Stories, Kangana Ranaut also paid tribute to Tarek. He noted: “An outstanding thinker, author, and critic was Shri Tarek Fatah. We will really miss his enormous contribution to the media and literary worlds. During his life, he remained devoted to his views and convictions, and he will be remembered for his bravery.” Honored.”

And she added, “My condolences go out to his loved ones, friends, and admirers who will miss him terribly. I offer my sincere condolences for his passing and ask God to grant the departed soul sadgati (salvation).”

The news of Tarek Fatah’s death was also shared by his daughter Natasha. On Instagram, she posted a bunch of pictures of her family members including her parents.

She wrote, “Lion of Punjab. Son of India. Lover of Canada. Speaker of truth. Fighter for justice. Voice of downtrodden, downtrodden and oppressed. Tarek Fatah has passed the baton… He will have revolution.” Continue with all who knew and loved him. Will you join us? 1949-2023.” Tarek passed away after a long battle with cancer, according to news agency ANI. He was 73.
