Sony Pictures has acquired the action/horror/comedy film Hell. Starr is engaged to Kid Cudi and Excitement’s Scott Mescudi. Sam Levinson, a producer, is in charge. The early-stage script is being written by Keith and Kenny Lucas, both of whom have been nominated for Academy Awards. Mescudi will create under the Mad Solar name with collaborators Karina Manshill and Dennis Cummings and with Sam and Ashley Levinson under the Little Lamb banner. Further producing are Brawn and H. Wood Films.
Although the plot is being kept a secret, we do know that zombies will be involved and that it will occur during Paris Fashion Week. Besides Kevin Turenne, Harrison Kress, Jon Terzien, and Jeremy Allen, executive producers from Mad Solar include Aaron L. Gilbert, Brenda Gilbert, and Stuart Mansheel. Associate producer will be Brian Toole.
“This film has been in development for five years. I’m warning everyone right now that this movie will haunt you in all possible ways. Since I was 7 years old, I’ve loved the horror genre, Mescudi stated. “Night of the Living Dead and Evil Dead were the first horror films I ever saw, and ever since then, a sense of fear has kept me tied. After years of figuring everything out in my thoughts, I’m finally able to enter this world and write my own stories, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time. Sam, the Lucas Brothers, and I worked very hard to produce a tale that we believe horror and humor fans of all stripes would love. Well, you will chuckle, but the scary part of the film is what will make it worthwhile to see. You’ll be surprised. I’ll be good. You are all aware of my serious nature. Mescudi’s involvement in the project adds to the eagerly anticipated Knuckles spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog video game. About his upcoming projects, he started the series last week alongside Idris Elba. Moreover, they have the action movie Silent Night starring John Woo. WME has said it once more.
Levinson most recently took home the DGA Award for Outstanding Drama Series Directing. Sculpture Bow Down, a hbo series starring The Weeknd and Lily Rose-Depp, will premiere this summer. WME and Novo Entertainment took his spot.
Lucas Brothers received a Best Original Screenplay Oscar nomination. The Black Messiah and Judas. Both UTA and Fourth Wall Management have abandoned him.
