Citadel, Priyanka Chopra’s forthcoming Amazon Video series, is getting ready for release. The espionage agent Nadia Singh is a character played by Priyanka in the Russo Brothers’ television series. In a recent interview, Priyanka, who recently began promoting Garh in Mumbai, stated that she wishes to go by the name Priyanka, citing Cher and Rekha as examples.

Priyanka had already shared a number of intriguing details regarding Citadel and her involvement in the project. According to the actor, Garh marked the first time in her 22-year acting career that she received salary parity with her male co-star in the show. She also admitted that despite being required to do so during her early days in Hollywood, she did not try out for the role in The Citadel.
Today, the actress was questioned about Priyanka being a common name and how it is utilized in Hollywood during a recent interview with The Telegraph-T2. Priyanka responded, “I fully capitalize on the fact that I’m the only Priyanka most Americans are familiar with. Yet there are at least six Priyankas in the room when I travel to India! There are so many. I’ve grown accustomed to being a simple PC during the years that I’ve lived in India. Yet I travel alone to America. Even there, I seldom ever use my last name. Now, I want to resemble Cher! And Rekha! Priyanka alone! I adore it (laughs).
Six episodes make up the first season of Priyanka’s detective show Garh, the first two of which are slated to air on Prime Video on April 28. The Russo Brothers and showrunner David Weil executive produce Citadel, which also stars Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci, and Leslie Manville.
Idris Elba and John Cena will appear in the actor’s upcoming feature film, Heads of State, which will start filming in the UK. During the time of the shoot, hubby Nick was on tour in the UK with the Jonas Brothers. In the meantime, Priyanka is working on Love Again, which will debut in May. Sam Heughan, Celine Dion, Russell Tovey, and Priyanka will all appear in the movie, while Nick also makes a brief appearance.
