Arjun Tendulkar’s first appearance with the Mumbai Indians first XI was outstanding. On April 16, he faced the Kolkata Knight Riders in his IPL debut and bowled two overs for 17 runs. Tendulkar received the third over in the ensuing match against Sunrisers Hyderabad after Rohit Sharma requested that he deliver his 20th of the contest. He finished with stats of 1/18 after giving up just five runs in the over while also taking a wicket.

Tendulkar’s debut generated a lot of attention because he is the illustrious Sachin Tendulkar’s son. It’s interesting to note that Tendulkar Sr., the inaugural captain of MI, had never taken a wicket in the IPL before his son did in the second game. Yet it’s important to remember that Tendulkar started out as a batsman, whereas Arjun is predominantly a fast bowler.

In the days leading up to both games, Sachin, who serves as the MI team’s mentor, can be seen engaging with Arjun multiple times. The 49-year-old then frequently mentioned his son during a Twitter “Ask Sachin” session that followed. When the two were playing for MI, a fan posted a photo of young Rohit Sharma hugging Sachin, and during one of the two games they played, Arjun was seen hugging Rohit. What springs to mind when you view these 2 photographs, the fan enquired? Wish we were all playing together for @mipaltan, Sachin remarked.

As Arjun informed him that he wanted to play professional cricket, a different fan enquired as to what professional advise he gave the young man. Tendulkar responded appropriately. He replied, “Are you sure??????,” in his message. After the victory over SRH, Arjun had stated that he occasionally talks about the game with his father. After delivering a tight last over and getting his maiden IPL wicket, Arjun stated that he talks strategy with his father Sachin Tendulkar before every game, who instructs him on what drills to do.

At the post-game presentation, Arjun remarked, “We chat about cricket, we go through strategies before games, and he (Sachin Tendulkar) tells me that I practise every game.” Arjun claimed that he followed the game plan and bowled as instructed by his captain.

“Getting my first IPL wicket was obviously fantastic. Just concentrate on the task at hand, plan, and carry it through. The only thing we intended to do was bowl wide and hit long boundaries to make it easier for the batsman to hit. broad side. I enjoy bowling, and when the captain instructs me to, I am pleased to bowl as long as I follow the team’s strategy and give it my all.
