Boney Kapoor wed Sridevi in June 1996 after previously wed Mona Kapoor, with whom he had two children, Arjun and Anshula. According to reports, Sridevi was the reason of a furious argument between Anil and Boney.
Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor allegedly fought while Mr. India, which was released in 1987, was being filmed. According to reports, things apparently became so bad that Anil stormed off the sets in a fit of wrath. This was discovered at a time when Boney was working on the production of Mr. India and was eager to cast Sridevi as the lead actress. At the time, Sridevi was said to be ending her relationship with Mithun Chakraborty. She originally turned down the offer, but then she raised her demand to a staggering Rs 10 lakh for the part. Boney paid Sridevi an extra lakh instead of the same sum, bringing her payment for the movie to Rs 11 lakh. Anil Kapoor, who was playing the movie’s lead role, was reportedly enraged by this.
