Owen lost his medical license in season 19 after illegally providing drugs to veterans for physician-assisted deaths.

Since that time, he has been on probation and is only allowed to practice medicine with other doctors’ approval. For both doctors, the situation has been uncomfortable, particularly as Teddy assumes a new position as the chief of surgery. Owen does, however, get his license back, and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) counsels Teddy and Owen to work on their relationship right now rather than linger in bitterness.

“I think we’ll see them bow down as a really supporting, loving couple,” predicted McKidd. He’s the head, he’s the head of trauma,” sings We Couple. He can now support it because he is aware of the requirements for the position. He therefore sort of turns into a rock as the season goes on.

Both the audience and the stars appreciate the adjustment. The director remarked that playing the character was “very exciting because it’s been really turbulent for him and it’s good to see Owen really show up for his wife, who has one of the toughest jobs at the hospital.”

Owen wouldn’t take it lightly when he went back to the OR, according to McKidd. “After having her wings trimmed, she can now spread her wings once more. She is extremely content, he said. “The nice thing about having something taken away from you in life is that it makes you know how much love you are. And I believe it has somewhat rekindled his fire. Due to the fact that he “lost practically everything,” he came back to life as a character. So now that he is a medical student and is even more involved, it is wonderful to play this new version of him.

McKidd is growing as a director as his on-screen character rediscovers his love for medicine. The celebrity has helmed 37 episodes. Grey’s Anatomy, which debuted in 2011, and its most recent episode, which aired on March 30, both began with a lengthy one-shot that brought viewers from an ambulance to the emergency room with a car accident victim.

“We accomplished it in two takes,” McKidd said.

The initial take was flawless. Debbie Allen, executive producer We’re done, it was like. Great. We completed it once we had it. I then responded, “No, let’s do another.” Moreover, the second take was just 15% better. Hence, the take that was broadcast was the second of two. I’m just tremendously happy. It’s some of our best work, in my opinion. On the show, we have never done this. For the first time in the show’s 19 seasons, we actually did something. [I’m] I’m really proud.
