On Sunday, Team India members from the 2011 World Cup winning group celebrated their 12-year wedding anniversary (April 2). A special episode honoring India’s historic victory features Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, and S. Sreesanth. A video of the show is also available on the star sports YouTube channel.

The players can be seen in the video reminiscing about moments during the competition when Sehwag playfully claimed that he and Harbhajan had little impact. Sehwag recalled another tale making fun of Sreesanth while the discussion between the four people went on. He noted that before Sreesanth could explain what had happened, the Kerala bowler had departed the field after just delivering a few overs.
“Harbhajan and I merely fielded,” said Sehwag. We made no more contributions.
“I took a wicket,” said Harbhajan.
“I took a catch off Zaheer Khan,” Sehwag said. There was no additional input.
Sreesanth, who was seated next to him, was then pointed out by him “Just after bowling 2 to 3 overs did you begin to protest, “I can’t breathe,” and you were dismissed. You hadn’t even completed half of your assigned number of overs.
Sreesanth said that because he had worked hard earlier in the day, it was heatstroke “I went to the gym that morning because I believed I wouldn’t be included in the starting XI, but I ended up getting heatstroke. Harbhajan advised me to prepare, but because he was starting from the quarterfinals, I wondered how I might advance directly to the finals. Sreesanth stated, “But Jai Mata Di I got a chance.
Throughout the course of the program, the topic of the incident came up once more, and Sehwag stated: “We brought him back on the field by stating that if you don’t bowl today please don’t play cricket in the future.”
Then, Sreesanth remembers Sachin Tendulkar approaching him and giving him a message from the previous captain, MS Dhoni. During the beverage break, Sachin arrived when he was inside the dressing room and said, “Shri chup chap andar aaja aur katora dal. Mahi bula raha hai.” I complied.
In the end, Sreesanth bowled eight overs throughout the game, giving up 52 runs without picking up a single wicket. In reality, the Kerala pacer played in just two games, including the championship match, and he failed to claim a single wicket.
