In 1991, Sunil married Mana. Son Ahaan and daughter Athiya are their two children. When the couple welcomed Ahaan into the world in 1995, Athiya Shetty was born in 1992. Athiya married KL Rahul earlier this year, while Ahan Shetty is currently dating Tania.
In a Bollywood Bubble interview, Sunil discussed his marriage counsel for Athiya and KL Rahul. “Trust each other, have faith in each other, and give each other space. (Hands Together) not apart Perhaps I’m after the mind since that’s how my hand always moves. Sometimes Athiya may ask, “Where is yours?” When I visit her house on my own and my mother isn’t there, she gestures with her hand and says, “Where are you?” I don’t know why, but I always look for her at parties, but you know, it’s just about having faith in one another.”
Sunil asked in reference to KL Rahul and Tania, “Both the kids (kids)? My first love, my family, and my kids. My first love is Tanya. They have a family, they are so lovely, and they are really straightforward.” Athiya was also referred as as dictatorial and a “tough critic” by Sunil.
On January 23, 2023, Athiya wed KL Rahul at Sunil’s property in Lonavala. Sunil thanked the photographers for their support in a conversation with them after the wedding. Also, Sunil disclosed that the wedding reception would take place following the IPL season.
A few years ago, both Athiya and Ahaan made their acting debuts. Hero (2015) served as Athiya’s film debut, and Tadap (2021), a Hindi version of the Telugu film RX 100, marked Ahaan’s.
The next online series Hunter, an action-thriller, will star Sunil. On March 22, it will start to stream on Amazon Mini TV. The film, which also features Esha Deol, Rahul Dev, Barkha Bisht, Mihir Ahuja, and Tina Singh, was directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra.
