Featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in main roles, the film is a sequel to the 2001 hit film ‘Gadar’. In competition with the Oscar-nominated movie “Lagaan,” the movie depicts the tale of a truck driver named Tara Singh and his struggle to win back his Pakistani wife.

According to the movie’s IMDb synopsis, the plot takes place during the 1971 war between India and Pakistan, and Tara Singh will travel to Pakistan this time to bring his son Charanjeet back to India.
Together with Gaurav Chopra, Anil George, Simrat Kaur, Utkarsh Sharma, and Mir Sarwar, Gadar 2 is directed by Anil Sharma.
